Shri. Pranchit Arvind Poreddiwar hails from Armori, Gadchiroli, Maharashtra. Born on December 26, 1980, he is the son of Arvind Namdevrao Poreddiwar and Sou. Chaya Arvind Poreddiwar. His academic journey led him to attain a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce (B. Com) before embarking on a career primarily as an agriculturalist and businessman. 

Political Movement:
Shri. Pranchit Arvind Poreddiwar’s journey into politics reflects a series of significant milestones and dedicated commitments. His initial strides in the political arena began with his election as a director of the Gadchiroli District Central Co-operative Bank in 2007. This marked the commencement of his active engagement in the realm of cooperative banking and community service.

Within a short span, his exemplary leadership qualities and unwavering dedication propelled him to secure the position of President of the Bank by December 2007. This remarkable achievement, becoming the Chairman of TheGadchiroli District Central Cooperative Bank at a youthful age of 27, not only demonstrated his capabilities but also positioned him as the youngest Chairman among all District Central Banks in Maharashtra, signaling the dawn of a promising leadership.

His political ascent continued as he expanded his roles by assuming the position of Director of the Maharashtra State Co-operative Banks Association, Mumbai, in 2004. This was a testament to his increasing influence and contributions to the cooperative banking sector.

Further, from 8th August 2016 to 24th October 2017, he held the significant role of Vice President at the Maharashtra State Cooperative Banks Association Mumbai, continuing to leave an indelible mark in the cooperative banking landscape.

Throughout his political journey, Shri. Pranchit Arvind Poreddiwar has remained steadfast in his commitment to cooperative banking, community welfare, and socio-economic progress, leaving an enduring legacy of astute leadership and unwavering dedication to public service.

Cooperative / Social Sector Work:
He spearheaded the creation of 11,000 Self-Help Savings Groups through the bank, leading to empowering 75,000 women in Gadchiroli with credit and self-employment opportunities.

Significantly expanded the bank’s reach by establishing 17 new branches, totalling 55 branches, emphasizing the importance of modern banking services even in rural, remote, and Naxal-affected areas.

Implemented cutting-edge banking facilities such as mobile banking, M-Passbook, Micro ATMs, among others, to enhance customer service and convenience.

His commendable efforts in the cooperative sector were acknowledged with awards including the prestigious Outstanding District Bank Award from NABARD and the Vaikunthbhai Mehta Outstanding Central Co-operative Bank First Award.

Recognized the exceptional contributions of individuals within the district through the “Jilha Gaurav Puraskar”, honoring various dignitaries for their remarkable achievements.

His involvement extended beyond banking, actively supporting and organizing diverse social, educational, and religious programs, reflecting his commitment to community welfare.

Book Publishing:
He published ‘Prakashaksh,’ a book centered on the life work of Dr. Prakash Amte, a revered recipient of the Ramon Magsaysay Award, showcasing his engagement in literature and social documentation.

Study Tours:
A visit to Dhaka, Bangladesh, provided a unique opportunity for a personal meeting with Dr. Mohammad Yunus, a Nobel Medalist and with Chairman of Grameen Bank Dhaka, facilitating discussions on rural development and the role of banking.

Multiple international visits to countries like Hong Kong, New Zealand, Germany, Netherlands, Paris Europe, England, were instrumental in broadening his perspectives and knowledge, crucial for his roles in banking and cooperative sectors.

Political Legacy:
Holding a distinguished political lineage, inherited from his grandfather, Mr. Namdevrao Poreddiwar, a former MLA, Shri. Pranchit Arvind Poreddiwar upholds a legacy deeply rooted in social causes and politics. He continues to carry forward this illustrious heritage, contributing significantly to cooperative banking and community welfare while emphasizing progress and modernization.
